West Hollywood/UCLA/Cedars-Sinai

Our 2BR, 2BA, fully-furnished detached house is located on a quiet street in the Norma Triangle area, at the Beverly Hills end of West Hollywood. Separate living and dining rooms with hardwood floors, eat-in kitchen with new appliances (gas oven/range, dishwasher and refrigerator), laundry room with washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom, one with a single bed and a full-size bed). The two bathrooms both have tub + shower combos and are newly remodeled, and the entire house has been recently re-painted inside and out. Flat-screen TV, WiFi, Central A/C and heat, large patio with shaded table for 4.
Our Walk Score is 94! (West Hollywood is a self-contained island of sanity within car-crazy Los Angeles.) Although you wouldn't guess it (or hear it) from our home, we are very near Pavilions 24hr supermarket, the Abbey bar/restaurant, many bars, clubs, and restaurants on Santa Monica Blvd and the Sunset Strip. There is world-class shopping on Robertson Blvd, Rodeo Drive, and the Beverly Center. Pacific Design Center is 5 minutes' walk. Cedars-Sinai Hospital is 10 minutes' walk. UCLA is 20 minutes by bus, 10 minutes by car, or 30 minutes by bicycle. Santa Monica beach is 25 minutes away by car, USC 35 minutes. Hollywood, Universal Studios, the Getty Center, LACMA, La Brea Tar Pits, Farmers' Market, The Grove, and Griffith Park are some of the easily reached attractions.
Two on-street parking passes are included. No pets or smoking, please. Maximum of 4 guests.

Location, location, location. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better location than this West Hollywood home. It's on a quiet street that's a 3-minute walk to the grocery store. Walk a couple blocks further and there are a number of restaurants and bars on Santa Monica Blvd. Several blocks in the other direction (and up a steep hill) are numerous comedy clubs and fashionable shops on Sunset Boulevard. The home is right on the edge of Beverly Hills and most of the homes on the street have been beautifully renovated.

My young son and I stayed here for a summer and it was a great experience. We could walk to my son's summer camp and drive about 25 minutes to the Santa Monica beaches on the weekends.

If you like to read, the owners have a nice collection of books including Harry Potter, several Shakesperean plays, travel guides, popular fiction, etc. The West Hollywood library and a nice park are also a few blocks away.

Street parking was never a problem.

Dealing with the owners was a pleasure. Simon and Mike were incredibly welcoming and responded to any questions very quickly. While we were there, two Magnitude 6 earthquakes occurred outside of LA. Because the owners retrofitted the home, we only felt a little wobbling during the first quake and didn't feel the 2nd quake at all.

The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable. There was ample closet space in both bedrooms. I used the walk-in closet as a recording studio during my stay. The newly renovated bathrooms worked well, as did the washer and dryer.

In summary, we would feel comfortable staying here again or recommending it to friends.
