Sunny Spacious Apartment 20 minutes from Midtown Manhattan
With NYC skyline views, this sunny, 900 sf (85 m2) apartment is ideally located for work or vacation in and around NYC, and for work at home during COVID. The apartment has ample storage space and is perfect for a couple, small family, or a work-at-home individual who wishes to have easy access to Manhattan, but who wants more space and wants to leave behind the Manhattan prices. Recent tenants (on sabbatical in NYC) enrolled their kids in the local public school for their stay with us and were very satisfied.
**RE: transport during COVID** You can get to NYC easily without having to enter any trains or buses by taking the ferry from Weehawken to the east side of Manhattan. You can also get into the city by bus. Running 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, buses make the short commute to Times Square and all major subways in about 20 minutes (significantly less time than required to get to the same spot from Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, or even uptown Manhattan).
Located on the fourth-floor of a post-War building, the apartment has windows on three sides (making it open, sunny, and breezy), and views of the NYC skyline. It has a large, eat-in kitchen with granite counter tops and floor to ceiling wooden cupboards, new appliances, including dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and stove/oven. The bedrooms and living room have hard wood floors, and four very large closets, and are beautifully furnished (one queen size bed, one twin bed, one high quality, comfortable sofa bed that can sleep two more)
The apartment is located in a well-kept building with live-in superintendent, security cameras, bicycle storage space, in-building laundry facilities. There are restaurants, two supermarkets, banks, bakeries, liquor store, and a host of other amenities within 2 blocks of the apartment. For an additional $50/month, tenants can use large basement storage facility (approximately 10 ft x 6 ft x 5ft).
West New York is a diverse and walkable urban community located on the west side of the Hudson River (in New Jersey), directly across from Manhattan. Two blocks from the house, Boulevard East provides breathtaking views of Manhattan, and the New York harbor, while making for a great spot for jogging or strolling. To the north is James J. Braddock North Hudson Park, a 167-acre (68 ha) clifftop park with 45 sports facilities, trails & dog run.
You don't need a car to live here! And this is an affordable way to conduct your sabbatical or other business in and around NYC!
