Flexible Short term while House Hunting

Would like to house sit or rent 2 bdrm min for a few months while house hunting due to job relocation. 3 bdrm or office would be nice- but not a deal-breaker- as one of us still has to work from home everyday. 1 bonded couple, 1 adult sngl. Excellent references. Respectful. 2 chill indoor cats are coming with us. Location is not critical except for safety and quiet; we will not be commuting at this time. Prefer no-smoke interior.
Willing and able to care for plants/gardens (trained horticulturist), most animals.

Soon to retire horticulturist + adult daughter and son/in/law relocating to Triangle. All of us are well traveled and look forward to tripping again post-pandemic. Transferring from CA to NC to work at Durham based main office (s-in-l), and business opportunity (daugt). I will keep the home fires burning and anticipate part-time work.
