House or apartment in Halifax Canada for summer 2020

I am planning a 10 week research stay during the summer of 2020 - either beginning June or July, depending upon some organizational questions concerning schools and summer camps and housing availability. I am a university professor for the law of the sea and I am working with colleagues at Dalhousie University. My sons (12 and 7 years old by summer 2020) will come with me. My husband will only join us for a holiday towards the end of our stay. We are already very excited about our "Canadian adventure". We are looking for a house or apartment with at least two bedrooms not too far from Dalhousie main campus. We own a house with a garden in Germany and are willing and able to be housesitters and look after pets or a garden and perform other household duties. We are looking forward to your offer!

About
I am a professor for public international law with a focus on the law of the sea and international environmental law. I am 45 years old, married and have two sons, who are 6 and 11 years old. I would like to take them with me for my planned research stay in Halifax, Canada, during the summer of 2020 to offer them the experience of living in a foreign country and to improve their language skills. We are looking for a small house or apartment with two bedrooms, preferably not too far from Dalhousie University.
