Looking to Rent or Sit

Wanted in California United States of America

Listing #141258

2 br accommodation sought for spring 2021 semester

I have a sabbatical from the U. of Louisville (Dept. of English) spring 2021, and my wife (a psychiatric social worker in private practice) and I are looking to return to Southern California--where we lived in the early 1980s while I taught at UCLA)--for a few months.

LA would be ideal, as our son lives in Pasadena and we have a number of friends in the city, but Santa Barbara or San Diego areas would also be fine. We're late 60s, and long-time homeowners ourselves (in Louisville, KY), so we would certainly be respectful of your property.

About
I'm a professor of American literature at the University of Louisville with an emphasis in 20C and 21C poetry. English by birth, I've lived in the US since beginning grad school (U of Chicago) in 1974. My wife's a psychiatric social worker in private practice. Pre-COVID, we traveled domestically and internationally, and hope one day to do that again. We're looking for a 3-month sabbatical home Jan. 15-April 15, 2021 (dates are somewhat flexible) in or around LA (first choice), or San Diego, Santa Barbara, Tucson.
