This is a wonderful landmark building in a great location with all the amenities (except for a clothes dryer [which isn't so common in Berlin]), including an elevator that goes directly to your floor (the penthouse floor). The view over the Frankfurter Allee is incredible. Just around the corner are dozens of great (and inexpensive) ethnic restaurants and cafes of all cultures. The landlady is very cordial and fulfills all her promises and is very responsive when you need anything. She timely refunded our deposit without any problem. The apartment is very private (there are only 2 neighbors on your floor) and both are very helpful for anything you may need. We never used the drying room one floor up since the spaciousness of the rooms in the high-ceilinged apartment itself allows for easy drying on the racks provided by the landlady.
