We are a Spanish family of four (a couple in their forties and two teenagers) who came to Toronto for a whole school year (September 2018 to June 2019). Everything Tara and Phil explain in the post about the neighborhood and house is what you will find here: the house is very well situated, close to Danforth, where you can enjoy many kind of restaurants. Tram and bus stops to downtown and groceries are also very close and the neighborhood is very quiet and safe (so, our Grade 6 daughter walks to school in a total safety way and our Grade 10 son does the same –he uses the subway, really close, during winter). In addition, the house faces south, which is an extra considering how we appreciate the sun (and the snow on our sidewalk melts faster ;) ). The house itself is really cozy and it has everything you need. Even some relatives visited us for some days and they fit perfectly by adding two extra mattresses on the floor. Also, the projector in the living room (and popcorn machine!) is another extra for these winter evenings. Finally, and most important, Tara and Phil are an enjoyable couple that has responded quickly to all our doubts, even sending us a friend to fix a couple of unimportant things at the beginning of our stay.
