Lovely, large and bright 1920's house in Old Town Fort Collins
Our home is a 1922 two story house in Old Town Fort Collins. It is light, bright and full of character and charm. We love art and mid-century modern style, and you’ll see that throughout our house.
On our main level, there is a living room with a fireplace, a sunny dining room and kitchen. The kitchen was remodelled in late 2017 and has a large island, gourmet stove and lovely open shelving. The kitchen has french doors that open out onto a brand new deck and newly landscaped backyard with tons of flowers, and a hammock. Great fun for kids, and lovely for adults to relax and listen to the birds.
Also on the main level, there is a children’s bedroom with bunkbeds, a playroom with a futon, a bathroom with a clawfoot tub, as well as a spacious, bright office with a wireless printer. The large master bedroom is up a short flight of stairs. We also have a guest room and living area in the basement, along with a second bathroom and laundry room.
We live on a quiet, friendly street - and walking and biking into Old Town and and to CSU very easy. Alleys border the house on the south & east sides - so it feels very private. A couple of blocks away is City Park - there is an amazing pool in the summer, a lake, playground and a huge green space - perfect for a run, walk or picnic.
We're just over an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park, 20 minutes from the Poudre River Canyon (for fishing, kayaking, rafting, hiking...), an hour from southern Wyoming (Snowy Range Ski Resort, lots of amazing hiking), and about 90 minutes from many renowned ski resorts.
