Peaceful house and garden near Monash, CSIRO, Synchotron

We fell in love with this house and its garden at first sight on SabbaticalHomes and now we feel really lucky to live there during our one and a half year sabbatical. We are a family with two children and appreciate the large space, the distribution of the rooms, the furniture and applicances which made us feel at home from the first day. The piano and the decoration give this house a special soul. We appreciated the owner's amazing commitment to facilitate our settling in, as weel as her constant care and readiness to help us when needed.

The garden is gorgeous and looked after every month, which is very convenient. The location makes it very easy to join the CBD (20 minutes by train) or Monash University (direct bus).

Very nice and comfy house with a beautiful garden. It is equipped with everything you may need (Kitchen appliances, towels, bed linen, lots of books and even a piano), which has been very convenient for us. We are a family of 5 and we find the house to be very spacious. Lots of wardrobes and very warm decoration. The neighborhood is perfect for families, lot of parks in the surroundings and schools nearby. The landlady is very thoughtful and nice and helped us a lot to settle. We will be living here for a year and are very happy so far.

Top marks! We settled in to our home-away-from home in Melbourne just before the covid pandemic struck and counted our lucky stars every day. A wonderful house in the best of times, it was a true haven during those long months of lockdown and isolation — in addition to groceries, shops, and parks within walking distance, the house had everything the two of us needed for working from home. The comfortable furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, patio, and back garden display the style and generosity of its owner, who is a wonderful proprietor. Easy access to Melbourne’s extensive bus, tram, and train network is a bonus. We enthusiastically recommend this property for individuals, couples and small families who have the opportunity to spend sabbatical time in Melbourne.

I spent a couple of months in this house with my wife and two children (March-May 2019) and it was a really pleasant experience. We enjoyed the quietness and safety of the neighbourhood. It's really well located in a pleasant and liveable suburb with good bus/train connections with Monash University Caulfield and Clayton campuses, as with the CBD. The single-storey house and the room distribution made it a very comfortable place to live that we could actually call a home for two months. It is well fitted with all the necessary appliances and we particularly liked the decoration (full of books, a piano, comfortable furniture) which gave the house a warm character. The owner was very friendly, on the lookout for anything we might need and very communicative. We would definitely recommend this place for families, couples or single persons and hope to stay there again in the future if we are back in Melbourne.

My wife and I stayed here from August 2018 to March 2019. A really great place to live: lovely house and garden, quiet street with good neighbours, well furnished and a very friendly owner. Would certainly recommend the place, and we hope to stay there again in the future. Tim
