Urban retreat close to Melbourne University

My house is an older style edwardian home with 2 very large bedrooms, one of which I will be using for storage. There is an open plan kitchen lounge dining area, with a back verandah for sitting or eating - undercover and open at the sides. There is also a swimming pool in the backyard, great for cooling down on hot days. The furniture design is a mix of danish and other styles. The house is comfortable with heating/cooling, polished floorboards and rugs, with a modern kitchen that I designed. The house is a nice mix of old and new in terms of fittings etc. It is a relaxing house that is quiet and private where you can relax and read, sip wine or drink coffee, or just sit in the sun on the back porch. Or if you want a cosmopolitan experience wine, music, food and people action, simply walk down to Sydney Road. There is a vegetable garden you are welcome to glean from. I hope you like it! The location is close to public transport train, tram and bus. I have a push bike available for use. There is a bike path near by that takes you direct to Melbourne University or RMIT. If you have particular dates in mind that I have not listed here, please send me an email and I can see what i can arrange to accommodate you.

About Me
I am an artist and award winning photographer. My background has been arts related from fine art, IT, web design, graphic design and film and television. I went back to study a few years ago and now have a Bachelor of Arts from Melbourne University with a double major in Anthropology and Sociology. I have travelled to Europe, Africa and USA, and to various locations in Australia chasing the 'light' for my photography. I am passionate about trees, wildlife and raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

I really loved this house. The pool out back is a dream, walled and very private, surrounded by gorgeous native trees, with a sitting balcony over-looking it from 8 steps up. The house has lovely wood floors, large rooms, plenty of comfortable seating, and very high ceilings. The location is more residential than other AU urban rentals I've done; it's a good 10-minute walk to cafes and shops. But the owner left a bicycle for my use and that made it very easy to get around; the bike trail south links up with Melbourne's extensive network. Excellent Richard Cohn 1/26/2020 8:41:00 PM
