Aix en Provence, Historical Center - Downtown core - 50 steps from the top of Cours Mirabeau (on rue de la Mule Noire): Unique, Provencal style 18th century (built 1793). Apartment facing street (Four main rooms plus at the back: kitchen, bathroom, separate entrance, connecting corridor - i.e. all-in-all four large rooms and four small rooms/corridor), located at the heart of the core of Aix-en-Provence. The apartment is one of four in a 3 storey 18th century townhouse on the second floor. The townhouse coach-doors give way to a large entrance way and a large 19th century provencal style staircase; it opens onto a downtown residential street with two small shops (not cafes/restaurants), and little traffic. Large dining room, and separate large living room. Master bedroom with queen size bed (+ walk-in closet and direct access to large bathroom at the back). Large bathroom with old-fashioned claw foot soaker tub. A second bedroom has two single beds. Please note the 15 feet ceilings, the fireplaces, the original terracota floors, yet modern kitchen (appliances) and bathroom: Fully equipped dine-in kitchen, wireless internet service and wireless cable TV. Please note that the rent is ALL inclusive (electricity, heat (max 100 euros/month), water, internet, and cable tv), two hours of WEEKLY CLEANING also included. The apartment is fully equiped including white linen and bathroom towels for four people, and with cooking and dining kitchen utensils. Its our sabbatical home. We use it 2 - 3 months per year depending on work as our vacation-sabbatical-home. Look at the map: This apartment is located about 50 meters from the top of "Cours Mirabeau" (the central 18th century old-town walking-avenue and promenade) and within three/five minutes walking distance to schools, shopping on the rue d'Italie, the famous Aix open air markets, and Aix Opera. It is 12/15 minutes walking distance to Aix Universities, and Aix olympic/public & Oliveraie (private) swimming pools. A city parkade/parking called 'Carnot' is available 7 minutes walk away at the corner of Carnot Bd. at the end Italy street (rue d'italia). Parking is available per hour, daily, weekly and monthly as well. Price: Four months to eight months lease is 1699 euros per month (such lease includes summer, fall and winter months - for any - length of time from 4 months or more than four months lease). All other leases and Aix-Opera Festival Season (mid-June - end-of-July) - is 200 euros per day (minimum stay is 6 nights). Deposit: Four to eight months lease deposit is one month rent; to be paid upon entry. Summer deposit is euros 1000 plus rent up-front upon booking Booking: Four (or more) months lease - one month rent up-front and signed lease (i.e. booking pays the last month of rent). All other length of time rental leases and Aix-Opera Season and Summer euros 1000 deposit plus full rent up front. Please note that for four months leases, we also accept rent in both Canadian and US dollars, and, agree to fixed exchange rates on leases.
