Prestigious, convenient, central location, quiet and secure apartment in a Medieval Palazzo. Walk to John Hopkins. Two blocks from the 2 towers and frequent public transport around the corner. Fully refurbished. High coffered timber ceiling and massive arched windows look out to a cobbled, gated, garden courtyard. Two huge additional brick barrel ceiling bedrooms with new beds (queen, double and single), new mattresses and all linen. Double glazed opening windows are on the lower level via a spiral staircase. Modern bathrooms on both levels with new large shower on upper level. The new kitchen has induction hob, full size fridge, microwave and washing machine. Ancient terracotta tiled floor, Murano chandeliers x 2. Air-conditioned, independent hydronic heating, satellite TV, unlimited 5G WiFi, DVD player and CD player. Fully furnished with quality drapes, antiques, leather chesterfield couch. Kitchen requirements to Western standards. Living area access suitable for wheelchair. A convenience supermarket has opened opposite the palazzo. Additional services such as transfers, laundry and cleaning by negotiation with property manager Errico Grisot.
Review:I'm just about to finish my one month stay in Susanne's fantastic apartment. The location is excellent, the Quadrilatero area and frequent buses to all areas of Bologna are literally within a few minutes walk, although central Bologna is not large and easy to walk around. The furthest walk from the apartment would be the train station but that was only 15-20mins. The apartment is quiet, spacious and warm which I appreciated very much as it was snowing in Bologna when I arrived in March (2018). As for the facilities, I didn't want for anything - the modern kitchen is a joy. In addition a well stocked Carrefour Express is literally around the corner. I can't recommend this rental highly enough and will likely return in the future.
Review: We very much enjoyed out stay in Sue's charming apartment. The location is unbeatable: right in the old city, central to the university and cultural attractions, with nearby shopping. We were there during the summer and the weather was HOT, but having cool, underground bedrooms made sleeping a pleasure. We appreciated the historical building and although situated in the heart of the city, the apartment itself is tucked away and well-shielded from the sounds from the street. Thank you, Sue, for all the thoughtful touches!
