Four Little Pieces of French Culture!

Our tenant is a Slovenian physicist spending some time at the Collège de France. We were also keen on housing academics, first because of some kind of "class solidarity" :), secondly because this meant for us much, much more a priori trust and enabled us to keep the rent relatively low by Parisian standards. his stay went perfectly well and gave rise to what I like to call the "cutest tenant request ever": we had left a few children's books from my own childhood in the flat, knowing he had two little boys, and the elder loved some of them so much that his daddy asked whether he could buy them from us before returning home... Needless to say we were delighted to present the little boy with four little pieces of French culture!
