I'm a writer and documentary film producer and have lived in this friendly, shady and walkable Cherrywood neighborhood near the University of Texas for over two decades. I enjoy sharing my home with visiting professors and other professionals who want to explore Austin, while still enjoying peace and quiet on the home-front. This summer I will be mostly traveling, so I'd like to share expenses with a summer visitor, as I have in the past. There are many wonderful neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, parks, grocery stores, a farmers' market, and public transit lines. You’ll also be a 10-minute drive to the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail which has a number of water sports rentals available. I've had 3 professors and 2 other professionals as housemates in the past 5 years. All have become friends and are willing to provide references.
