Idyllic Garden Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very responsive and generous with their time. We would stay again. The location is very walkable and a large nature reserve is nearby. Location is close to downtown and has its own charm.

This lovely, little home was a terrific environment for a short-term project.

Setting: Bryn Mawr feels like its own village. Excellent walkability, especially to the local coffee shop! Highway access, NW frm Olson/55 or SW to 394. About 10mins to West End (Costco, grocery, movies). BUT! use the frontage road cause 394 can get REALLY clogged.

The house: comfortable, cosmopolitan, tranquil, elegant-a little funky and formal all at the same time. Kitchen, not fancy, but super well equipped & organized! No tv dwnstrs for movie w/friends (bummer). Yard had firepit, could benefit from yard umbrella.

People: Saw other review, but my experience with the owners was great. They were clear, cordial, responsive communicators. Housekeeper was super!

The owner listed wrong dates but we accommodated her "real dates" and negotiated a rental with her. She said she would send paperwork when she returned from "an emergency trip to care for a sick family member in Canada". Instead of sending a contract, she said she had changed the dates again (without telling us) and found someone else that would rent for the new dates. She said we would be number 2 if the other people fell through. We wasted 3 weeks with her assuring us we had this rental. Its not worth your time to consider this one.
