Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath home in quiet neighborhood near UC Berkeley

Ellen's place is amazing in so many ways. First, the house is very comfortable and has all you could need. The house is in a lovely neighborhood, with very friendly neighbors, people out walking, biking, running. Second, the location could not be better. Biking to UC Berkeley on the Ohlone Greenway is a real treat (and easy to do - I was there in 20 minutes). BART is a 12 minute walk away and then a 7 minute ride to Berkeley (and you can take BART all over). You can walk or bike to MANY restaurants, groceries, parks (Blake Gardens!), and it is a real pleasure to explore the area. You can easily get by without a car. Finally, Ellen is a terrific communicator and a superb host. I'm confident you will love your stay at this fantastic house!

We were very happy with our stay at Ellen's home. The place was as described, the neighbourhood excellent and neighbours on the street were very kind and welcoming. Some are now friends we plan to stay in touch with.

My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed and Ellen was very kind and accommodating, including going above and beyond in terms of child proofing the place (plug sockets etc).

Ellen was excellent in communicating and very responsive to any minor issues that arose during our stay. We would definitely want to stay here again, given the chance, and am sure it would be a good fit for people from all walks of life.

Ellen is a wonderful person to commnicate and so attentive for everything you need. The house is in the one of the safest place in the area. So close to everything. Solano, El Cerrito Plaza, Schools, Kensington Circle. The house is well renovated and equipped with all the appliances (including wahser and dryer, new fridge). You will have small front and back yard and there are lemon tree, fig free, blue berry etc. Neighborhood are so wonderful and I had great time with them. After 10pm, the entire town becomes very silent, so this may not be the party home. Personally, I think that I cannot find better place than this in this area. I would like to strongly recommend this place and will definetely rent this place again when I visit again.

I stayed Ellen's place during my sabbatical leave in fall 2021. With super-clean and well-furnished rooms not only for living and relaxing, but also for working at home, and such a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood, this was just the perfect place for me. (I stayed by myself but I'm sure it could accomodate 2-3 people). Ellen was very responsive and supportive in all the process of the contract and gave me heart-warming supports during my stay. I would definitely recommend Ellen's place to anyone who wants to enjoy staying healthy in Berkeley area!
