Our home lies in the heart of an urban, walkable neighborhood with a vibrant social scene. The condo is centrally located so that you can easily explore all the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer. Step inside and you're greeted with a sweeping view of Uptown Oakland! The unique circular living/dining area affords a breathtaking view of city lights and street life and provides a comfortable spot to people-watch, catch up on your favorite TV show, or read a book. Home is set up to accommodate two workstations in separate rooms equipped with adjustable sit/stand desks, ergonomic chairs and wireless printer. Gourmet cooks will appreciate the large fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a wine refrigerator. Both bedrooms are set up for a peaceful night's rest with comfy king-sized beds with black-out blinds or curtains, and the main bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with two sinks and a shower. The office/den can serve as a third bedroom with a futon that converts to a double bed. Please note, the futon can accommodate one adult or two small children. Guests also have access to our building’s lovely shared courtyard with benches, water fountains and lush surroundings. About our neighborhood: We live in Foodie Paradise surrounded by acclaimed chefs and local favorites, with cuisines representing every corner of the globe. You're steps away from dozens of restaurants, bars and coffee shops, most of them locally-owned. Two major entertainment venues - the Paramount and Fox theatres - host a myriad of world-renowned music, dance, and comedy performances. Other smaller clubs and venues offer live jazz, hip hop and more. We're also three blocks from the city's crown jewel, Lake Merritt. This tidal lagoon with a three-mile shoreline serves as the city's central gathering place to picnic, walk, run and take in nature. Lake Merritt is home to the United States' oldest designated wildlife refuge (great for bird-watching) and Children's Fairyland (amusement park for little kids). Getting around is easy; our condo is just three blocks to the rail station (BART), bike and scooter sharing is readily available, and numerous bus lines serve the neighborhood. We are also within walking distance of grocery stores and ethnic markets. Oakland is one of the most diverse cities in the US. Rich in history and architecture, there's much to explore about the place affectionately nicknamed The Town.
