The house has 2000 sq. ft. of living space, is located on a quiet, tree-lined, suburban street and gets the sun all day. It is furnished and well maintained. The eat-in kitchen is equipped with electric double oven and gas stove top, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The dinning room is conveniently adjacent to the kitchen for entertaining. The deck encourages outdoor gatherings and the spacious living room with its beautiful gum wood paneling and beams provides space for relaxing with or without company. Off the living room is a sunroom/study with television and a desk. On the second floor there are three bedrooms, a private study and a full bath. The laundry room is in the basement and has a washing machine and dryer. Transport. The house is well connected to public transportation being a 10 minute walk from a bus line that takes you to Harvard Square and connects with the Red Line subway that goes to Boston and beyond. The Belmont Center Commuter rail station is 15 minute walk from the house and takes you directly to the Red Line and North Station (walking distance to MGH and MEEI) or to Brandeis University. Drive to Route 2 and Route 95 in 10 and 15 minutes respectively. Local Amenities. Belmont Center with its stores, banks and restaurants is a 15 minute walk. More stores, restaurants and cafes at Cushing square are a 10 minute walk from the house. The Freshpond shopping center with its supermarkets and more is a 10 minute drive. Within 10-20 minutes walking distance are Elementary, Middle, and High schools. Yard. There is a fenced-in, private back yard with well-established plantings and trees, overlooked by the deck. The driveway has parking for several cars and leads to a garage for a small car. The house fronts onto a lawn and the quiet street. Utilities. Tenants will be responsible for monthly payment of utilities including gas, electricity, water/sewer and internet. On average, as a single person, I pay $100/month for water/sewer; $60/month for electricity; $150/month for natural gas and $175/month for internet and TV. Weekly collection of garbage and recyclables is included. I am looking for sabbatical visitors who will enjoy the house and treat it with care and respect. I am a retired teacher and Harvard graduate. I have lived in this home for over 30 years and have raised my family in it.
