*Not available during the Paris Olympic games. Our delightful apartment has three balconies, each accessed through double French doors, making it bright, sunny and airy throughout the year. We are located in Paris's 3rd arrondissement, the haut Marais, on a picturesque tree-lined street. It is on the 4th floor (US), 3rd floor EU/UK, with an elevator. There is one large bedroom which has a curved wall and opens onto a Juliette balcony. The view from this balcony is especially pretty, as it faces diagonally across the street. The apartment has a large living room and equally large kitchen/dining room, both with long balconies. The bathroom has a full bathtub, there is a large office area with wifi printer, a second small desk in the bedroom and a small laundry with a washer/dryer. The kitchen is equipped with brand-name appliances, including dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, oven, induction hot plates, and all utensils. The 1907 building and the apartment retain most of their original art nouveau features, although a new glass elevator has been installed inside the decorative spiral staircase (with its remarkable stained glass details topped by a small dome). Floors are in original oak parquet and the living room features an ornate marble and gilt fireplace with a mantle and art nouveau mirror. Living in this centrally located Parisian apartment gives the impression of being in a village. The building is well heated and the apartment is perfectly comfortable year round. There is also a very comfortable, high-end fold out sofa bed, in the lounge room, fine for two adult occasional guests. Close to metros Temple and Republique, a short walk to rue de Bretagne with its boutiques, cafés, restaurants and Paris oldest market, the marché des enfants rouges. There is a beautiful park only 100 meters away with a safe children's play area and a duck pond. This is one of the few parks in Paris where you are allowed to picnic on the grass in season. Easy walking distance to the Picasso Museum, the Georges Pompidou Center, and the heart of the Marais with a good gym nearby. For long-term stays a one-month security deposit of 2800 euros is required at least two months in advance of rental commencement, refundable on final inspection, plus one month's rent in advance. For shorter stays 50% cost of the rental is required in advance plus a 500 euros refundable security/damage deposit.
