We will be on vacation beginning June 1 till September 14, 2024 We are seeking someone interested in renting our place for a 2-month minimum. Our 1930s brick home has lots of character and is situated on a quiet street in a lovely mid-town residential area that is a short walk away (about 6 minutes) from the St. Clair West subway. We are within easy access of U of T (four stops) and the downtown core (10-15 minutes). The vibrant neighborhood of Wychwood Park is known for its parks, variety of fine restaurants along St. Clair W., a gourmet food market, restaurants/coffee shops/boutiques, post office as well as the Wychwood Barns, a local arts/community centre with a popular Saturday morning food market. One of Toronto’s loveliest ravines is just blocks away. The first floor consists of a front foyer, an extremely comfortable and spacious living room filled with books that lead to a formal dining room with original French glass doors. The eat-in kitchen is a chef’s dream. Fully equipped including dishwasher and microwave and granite top counters. The kitchen table overlooks a very private, quiet, flower-filled garden along with a large deck, patio furniture and BBQ. Wonderful for breakfasts and watching sunsets at dinner time. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, the children's bedroom has a double bed and the upstairs den has a pull-out couch and television. There is also a well-sized office including a printer and office furniture, internet and WiFi. The house is air-conditioned. Full laundry facilities, as well as a second washroom are in the basement. The light-filled house is tastefully furnished with contemporary furniture, antiques, art, wooden floors, carpets, excellent sound system and a cork floor in the kitchen. The front and back garden are filled with perennials and with lots of trees on the property, there’s plenty of shade during hot summer days with no grass to cut. There is parking for one car in a carport that you enter through a laneway that runs parallel to the street. The neighbourhood is made up of friendly professionals and the house can easily accommodate up to four people. Please email if you have questions.
