House in Chessenaz (France) near Geneva

We stayed at this property for almost two months (from mid-June to the beginning of August) while I was visiting University of Geneva. I was looking for a location which would allow my family to enjoy the summer while providing me with a relatively easy access to my place of work. This property seemed to be a perfect match when we saw the ad, and it turned out to be the case. Chessenaz is a charming village about midway between Bellegarde and Annecy. The house is neat, convenient, extremely clean and is located in a very quiet place. There were four of us staying in it (2 adults and 2 children) and we also had another adult visiting for a short time, and we fit comfortably. It has a wonderful garden around it. The owners live in a house next to it and are very amiable and helpful. If you need to travel to Geneva on a daily basis during your stay your best option would be to drive to Bellegarde and take a train from there, as parking in Geneva is not only notoriously expensive but is also hard to find. For an extended stay, it is possible to obtain "abonnement du travail" from SNCF which makes train rides much cheaper (and you can also add a TPG pass to it).
