We shared our listing with select friends, who are mostly academics, and wouldn't you know one of them had other friends - who live just up the street from us as it turns out - who were looking for a place to rent over the winter while they renovate their home. They wanted to stay in the neighbourhood and had not yet found anything that suited them. Our friends shared our listing on Sabbatical Homes, we drove down to the city to meet them, and we agreed upon the terms of the rental. It was simple and easy... and we have wonderful tenants for the winter while we are away.
