St. Louis, Missouri, United States
VISITING or RELOCATING FACULTY (and our friends!), live within walking distance of Tower Grove park, South Grand international food district, and a lively, walkable neighborhood. Amazing restaurants, bars, markets, post office, cleaners, independent coffee shops are all within a few blocks of my house. There is easy access to SLU, Harris Stowe or Wash U -- drive, bike, or bus. Whether you are moving here for the first time, want to try out the city before you buy a house (or can't find one to buy in this newly hot market), I would love to welcome you to St. Louis! My house is a 2400 square foot 100-year-old, newly renovated home -- two bedrooms plus an office, laundry, “cloffice” (closet + office) now being used as a spin room, and laundry upstairs (including my office which I hope to keep intact if possible) and a second office, living room, den, dining room and open kitchen downstairs. The house is beautifully renovated with modern, marble countertops and stainless appliances in the kitchen, all original wood floor and trim, high ceilings and big windows (including 6 new energystar, insulated windows upstairs). This would be ideal for a visiting faculty member, medical resident or intern, mature student, artist in residence, or someone who is looking to relocate but not quite ready to purchase. I will be away for sabbatical for a year (slightly flexible dates, but August 2021 to summer 2022) so looking to leave the house furnished and find someone who would take care of the house and enjoy it as if it's their own. No smoking or pets, please (allergies). I have had great luck in the past with Sabbatical Homes and hope to find temporary renters who feel like long-term friends!
