Paris, Île-de-France, France
We are leaving Paris from December 26th 2019 to mid-April 2020 and are renting our home, an artist’s atelier near Parc Montsouris, in the 14th quarter of Paris. Our 160 m2 atelier is on two levels on the 1st floor. It is one of eight ateliers facing a private garden with its maple and Mexican orange trees. Ateliers on the 1st floor were designed for painters and the ones on the ground floor were designed for sculptors. The lower level of our atelier includes an entrance, a living room, a spacious workspace, a dining room and a kitchen; the upper level includes three rooms and two bathrooms. The atelier is fully furnished and equipped with bedding linen, towels and kitchenware. Cleaning twice a week is an extra. Three bicycles are available. We are at a walking distance from the Parc Montsouris and its modernist houses designed by Le Corbusier and Auguste Perret in the 20s and 30s. The area includes the Villa Seurat (1926) - home of Salvador Dali, Chaïm Soutine and Henry Miller - the Maison Ozenfant (1922) and the Cité Internationale Universitaire (1925). Further away are the Montparnasse quarter and the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain. Metro Alesia - RERB Denfert Rochereau.
