In anticipation of travelling in retirement, we are offering to rent our casually elegant, fully-furnished 2+2 bedroom home in the quiet, historic neighbourhood of Old North London. With lots of Arts and Crafts-style character, our 2800 ft2 home features original hardwood floors and moldings. A large cozy living room connects through a French door to the dining room. Recent kitchen renovations have installed lighted cabinetry, granite countertops and a marble floor. Appliances include a stainless-steel fridge/freezer, dishwasher and gas stove. The kitchen is well outfitted with cooking essentials (e.g., pots, pans, dishware, utensils). A newer addition off the back of the house can function as a bedroom, den, yoga/meditation room in addition to providing a main floor powder room. The upper level of our home features a large south-facing master bedroom (queen bed with memory foam mattress) with ample closet space. The second bedroom also has a large window, queen bed and generous closet. A large, bright room (currently an office with two computer desks) could also easily become a bedroom. The upstairs bathroom has been recently renovated with a large soaker tub, walk-in glass shower and his & her sinks. Linens can be included. The basement is equipped with an older 2 pc bath, front load washer/dryer, high-efficiency natural gas furnace, central air conditioning, central vacuum, on-demand hot water heater and chest freezer. Some basement storage space is also available. The fully fenced backyard is great for outdoor entertaining or relaxing. Enjoy dinners on the deck with a dining set and natural gas BBQ included. Western University campus, including the Robarts Research Institute, University Hospital, Kennedy Fowler Center & Ivey Business School are all 35-45 min walk (7 min drive). St. Joseph's Hospital Urgent Care is a 15 min walk. Gibbons Park, which features green space, tennis courts, picnic areas, swimming pool, playground and splash pad is a 20 min walk. There is easy access to bus routes and city bike paths. Elementary schools nearby include St. George, St. Michael’s and Ryerson.
