Brooklyn, New York, United States
Please note: We understand that looking for an apartment to rent during these strange times may mean that potential renters have very specific questions about living in this particular apartment or neighbourhood, and we are happy to field any such questions via email or a longer conversation. We are subletting our lovely and tastefully furnished 2BR apartment in the Fort Greene neighbourhood of Brooklyn, located within walking distance to Fort Greene Park, Atlantic/Barclay's Center, Prospect Park, as well as shops, restaurants, and cafés in a neighbourhood that we love very much. Please note that the photos reflect the state of the apartment when we were living in it; as we have rented it out for the past two years, there is significantly more room for tenants' belongings. The apartment is fully furnished but not cluttered, and the kitchen is stocked with high-quality cooking supplies (All-Clad and Le Creuset pots, juicer, Cuisinart food processor), as well as a dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. There is an air-conditioner in the living/dining room as well as in the larger of the two bedrooms; the second bedroom is typically cooler as it does not receive direct sunlight. The bathroom has a tub/shower and is decorated in a classic New York style with subway tiles and a checkerboard tile floor. The larger bedroom features two closets and a king-sized bed with an extremely comfortable natural latex mattress; the second bedroom has a twin-sized bed (also with natural latex mattresses) that can be converted into a bunk bed (additional natural latex mattress included). The neighbourhood offers all you could need, including ample transportation with a cross-section of subway and bus lines, and a ten-minute walk to Atlantic/Barclay's Center, which features a Target as well as a subway hub where trains take you across the five boroughs. The apartment is also located within walking distance to City Point, with the delicious DeKalb Market Hall and Trader Joe's in the basement. Neighbourhoods like Park Slope, Downtown Brooklyn, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and Prospect Heights are an easy walk or bike ride away. The apartment is located on the second floor of a quiet coop building and looks out over a green courtyard that provides a cool breeze on hot summer evenings. Fort Greene is a very child-friendly neighborhood, and there are two playgrounds within half a block of the apartment. Sorry, but no pets or smokers, and please only respond if you have outstanding personal and professional references. We love our home very much, and are looking for someone who will care for it while at the same time making themselves at home and being a respectful and responsible part of our diverse coop community and neighbourhood.
