In the heart of Florence’s historical center, tucked away in a surprisingly quiet street in a culturally rich and lively section of the town, the apartment is quiet and luminous and opens out onto a balcony with a view over the gardens below. The apartment is suitable for those who come to Florence on holiday or for business or smart working. It is equipped with air conditioning and free fast wi fi internet. Restored with respect for tradition, the inviting interiors of the appartment are furnished with care and include several antiques. There is a table and a desk in the living room where it's possible to place a laptop. On the balcony overlooking a quiet and green garden there is a table that allows to eat and work outside. The apartment, located on the first floor (17 steps, no lift), includes a large entrance, a spacious and luminous dining/living room with couch (double sofa-bed 140 x 190 cm), a large very quiet and comfortable bedroom (taking light from the livingroom) with two single beds (80x190cm) or a double bed (160x190cm), a small but fully equipped kitchen and a very small bathroom (2 square meters) with shower. From the dining room, a large set of window doors open out onto a balcony (5 square meters) which can provide for pleasant al fresco dining with a view over the garden below. The terrace is also furnished with a washing machine and sink for convenience. The Santa Croce – Sant'Ambrogio area is one of the most popular and authentic corner of the town. Via dei Pepi opens into an area filled with stores, artisans shops and typical Tuscan ‘trattorie’ and restaurants. It is close to the daily market of Sant’Ambrogio and the antique market of Piazza dei Ciompi. All of Florence’s most renowned monuments and museums are within walking distance from the appartment, including the magnificent piazza Santa Croce, the Duomo and piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Gallery. The train station Santa Maria Novella is just a 20 minute walk. Weaknesses of the apartment: - Bathroom very small (2.50 square meters) The bedroom takes air and light indirectly from the livingroom.
