Jerusalem, Jerusalem District, Israel
Fully furnished top floor apartment, 2 bedrooms (sleeps 4), with designated parking spot. A modernly renovated apartment in a very friendly, quiet, and safe residential area in one of Jerusalem's greenest areas. The bedrooms overlook a small garden and the kitchen and living rooms afford great views of the Israel Museum and the Givat Ram botanical garden. Walk down a few steps to a community garden and two composting stations. Multiple parks, playgrounds, and lately also a community library are within short walking distance. The American International school is in our neighborhood, as well as a variety of good kindergartens and elementary schools. In the apartment: a spacious kitchen with a round granite-decorated dining table off to the side and a big window. A large living room with a study area that fits two computers and many books :) One of the sofas opens up to a comfortable queen-sized bed, which is perfect for guests. Queen-sized bed in the master bedroom and a twin size bed with a trundle bed under it in the second bedroom. There is a wooden-pattern parquet floor throughout all living spaces. There are 2 bathrooms (with showers, no tubs), one of which is ensuite with the master bedroom. We have central heating in the building in winter and strong ceiling fans in the living room and in the kids' bedroom. The apartment is strategically located in terms of transportation. You'll be able to walk to the Givat Ram campus and to the museums next to it (25 minutes walking, 10 mins driving). Buses closeby run regularly to Hebrew U.'s Mt. Scopus campus and the Ein Kerem medical school campus. A bus to the city center stops right next to the building. The bikepath to Gan Sacker is 5 mins away down the hill. Campuses farther away in Rehovot (including the Weizmann Institute) are a 40 mins commute away. 2 supermarkets and an organic grocery store are within 2 blocks of the apartment. There is also a post office down the street, and a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants in Old Katamon and Rechavia only a short walk away. We love our place and are sure you will too!
