The neighbourhood is quiet, friendly, and leafy; pleasant for walking and bicycling. A five-minute walk takes you to 4th Avenue with grocery, bakeries, coffee shops, bookshops, restaurants. The apartment is the main floor of a house built in 1911 and renovated in 1988. There is a large, bright living room (with adjacent office) and dining room separated by the original oak pocket doors, and a spacious balcony off the dining room. The master bedroom has its own covered porch and a master bath with heated floors. The second bedroom has a double bed, a sofa which also pulls out to a bed, and a desk. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads out to another small porch with barbeque and herb garden, also the back entrance stairs. There is also a small garage. Enjoy a drink or a book on one of the three porches. The study is perfect for thinking and writing. Take the folding chairs down to the beach to watch the sunset, or the bicycles (there are two) west to Spanish banks or east to Granville Island. It is a quiet neighbourhood and a quiet house.
