We're a retired university administrator and an engineer looking to stay a year in the New York city. Our children recently moved to the Chelsea neighborhood. Would love to be near Central Park or around NYU. Hope to stay one year, trading our home in Palo Alto, CA (close to Stanford University). Our home is quite comfortable with 3 ample bedrooms (two master), open floor plan with great room including kitchen, dining room and living room. Home was remodeled in 2015 so quite modern with all new appliances. Upstairs master is large and could accommodate multiple beds for children to share. Downstairs master has full walk-in closet and large bathroom with shower; smaller bedroom is currently an office, but has a sleeper sofa and could be converted to a bedroom if needed. Full bath available to guests who might stay in smaller bedroom. Quiet street with access to restaurants, grocery and drugstore at the end of the street. Back yard great for parties or just hanging out. If you're into gardening - greenhouse and raised planter boxes are also available for use.
