Rome, Lazio, Italy
This 4th floor, two-bedroom apartment is located in the heart of Rome’s historical district of Testaccio. Completly renovated in May 2015, the apartment is well-lit and decorated with Rome’s classic colors—ocre and red. The apartment has a walk-in kitchen with a balcony overlooking the Porticus Aemilia, an ancient granary that has been recently restored and opened to the public during the day (some archaeologists think instead it is was a shipyard.) The living and dining room has a HD television and a second balcony that looks out on the piazza and Church of S. Maria Liberatrice. With monuments on both sides, the apartment is full of light. One bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the other has two singles; both bedrooms have desks and bookcases. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is autonomous heating and air-conditioning, ceiling fans in the living and dining room and in the two bedrooms, as well as high-speed wifi internet throughout the apartment. There is also a washing machine and a small dishwasher. One of Rome’s best food markets is located five minutes away; there are three coffee bars underneath the building, and a supermarket across the street. Testaccio is the home of typical Roman cuisine, yet there a number of good fish restaurants too nearby. The city bus system will take you into the center of the city in less than five minutes, but you can also walk it in fifteen minutes. Testaccio is located just across the river from Trastevere.
