About

My husband and I ( and ten year old rescue dog) are seeking a house rental for this spring/summer. Our dates are relatively flexible at the moment. We are hoping to find something in Ithaca, but are open to anywhere in Upstate New York, or anywhere in the Northeast (but we do not want to be in a big city!).

About Me

I have been a Special Education Teacher in NYC for the past 15 years. For 12 years I worked directly with students in a variety of settings. I specialize in working with Students with Learning Disabilities and particularly enjoy teaching reading. For the past 3 years I have worked on the Committee on Special Education, managing the IEP's for over 300 students who live in our district and attend a variety of private and non-public schools. A large portion of my caseload is currently at a School for the Deaf, and I am enjoying learning more as I work with this population of students. My husband and I love traveling. We have a 10 year old rescue dog. We also enjoy hiking, cooking, running, and wine/beer tasting.
