Tenant Searching for a Place in London, England, United Kingdom
I am a fourth-year PhD candidate at Duke University who is seeking to relocate to London for at least six months in order to complete my dissertation research at the British Library and the National Archives. I am looking for a quiet and private space where I can rest and work comfortably and that is close to public transportation and shops. Like many academics, I am responsible, clean, and frequently keep to myself. I am half-American and half-Danish with EU citizenship and have lived and traveled extensively in Western Europe, particularly Denmark and France (I speak French fluently). I have visited London several times before and am comfortable navigating the city on my own. My hobbies include creative writing and taking long, rambling walks. The ideal space would have a small kitchen and a desk and chair for working. I am interested in private rooms, studio/loft apartments in a bigger home, or a house-sitting situation. I am allergic to cats and am looking for a non-smoking home. Although my plans are contingent on how quickly the United Kingdom reopens, my current aim is to relocate to London in July or August 2021 and to stay through December 2021, although I can be very flexible with the right situation.

Comments: My dates are flexible and depend on how quickly the archives in London open to full access.

I am a fourth-year graduate student in history who will soon be seeking a quiet and safe residence in London in order to complete archival research for my dissertation. I am half-American, half-Danish (I hold EU citizenship) and have both lived and traveled extensively in Western Europe. I am a very quiet, clean, and responsible tenant, and can provide references to this effect. My travel dates are flexible, as my priority is to find the right space and the right arrangement.
