Tenant Searching for a Place in Beaufort, South Carolina, United States
My husband is a distinguished teaching history professor emeritus from the State University of New York at Cortland, NY, and we both write. We now live in Beaufort, SC. We are active and have many interests and would be happy to find a home where we could, as much as possible, walk or bike to services and for leisure. While we could function with one bedroom, it would be nice to have two bedrooms available; however, this is not mandatory. Either a house or apartment would be considered. A scenic, attractive place would be a plus. We live where it is not too cold in January and February but would consider spending some time where it is even warmer. It is very hot and humid here in the summer so would be interested in a cooler location for a time in the summer.
1 Day | My dates are flexible
Comments: we would consider short term stay in the winter and a three week to four month stay June - Sept
Comments: Downtown Beaufort, SC

We are a non-smoking married couple, retired but very active and healthy. Donald is a retired professor of history. I was a former teacher, newspaper reporter, and insurance supervisor.Since we like to walk/hike/swim and my husband is a runner, being able to easily enjoy those activities near your home is a real advantage. We’re the parents of five grown sons, and five grandchildren with another due very soon. We also enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, traveling, and writing, and we have many other interests—like you, the environment being one. I like to play piano, write, paint and visit museums when they are available. Don has written several academic books, many reviews and journal articles, and lectured in China, Africa, and on cruise ships traveling up Africa's west coast.
