The Akaazienkiez, Schoenberg, former home to Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie, is a lovely, leafy area with wonderful independently run shops, bookshops and restaurants. A short stroll from Winterfeldplatz and its famous market, you can also visit the place where Christopher Isherwood lived and where the film Cabaret was made. Exceptionally high standard, yet inexpensive Italian, Asian and French cuisine - Lenzig around the corner does the best schintzel in Berlin. This elegant, high-ceilinged apartment can sleep 5 people and has a generous balcony overlooking a giant walnut tree with its resident red squirrel. Very friendly neighborhood where you are bound to fall into conversation with one of the customers lining up for some award winning coffee in the Double Eye Cafe. Close to universities, libraries, museums, galleries and the atmospheric Kurfuerstendamm shopping area. A 2 minute walk away from the Eisenacher Strasse U-Bahn.
