We are both professors at the City University of New York (CUNY) and have two children in their teens. Our home is a newly-renovated 1883 brownstone on a picturesque, tree-lined block in Long Island City, Queens, one subway stop from midtown Manhattan. The house is walking distance to PS1 (the contemporary art branch of the Museum of Modern Art), the beautiful Gantry State Park along the East River, excellent restaurants, and four subway lines. Our home is a triplex with three bedrooms, a library, a second smaller study, 2.5 baths, and a deck. The garden level of our building is a separate one-bedroom apartment occupied by our lovely tenant.
