Family Residence in quiet Amsterdam suburb

We had a wonderful home exchange experience (Aug 2023) with Harm and Erna. The house is spacious, with a garden, and has all the amenities needed. We stayed there with out two children (13 and 16). It is located near a large park (Amsterdamse bos) and close to a shopping center. We were allowed to use their bikes and car. Public transportation gets you in 30 minutes to the city center of Amsterdam and quickly also out of Amsterdam to visit other areas. We really appreciated the pleasant communication we had with them in case we had questions or requests. The house was very clean and a cleaning lady came weekly to keep it that way. In short, we highly recommend their home.

We had a wonderful home exchange experience (July 29, 2022 - Aug 26, 2022) with Harm and Erna. Their home in Amstelveen is spacious and comfortable and the garden is peaceful and lovely. Amstelveen had everything we needed (grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, parks, museums) within a short walk or bike ride. The access to all of the public transportation options were also just a few blocks away. We appreciated all of their suggestions of places to go nearby as well as day trips. It was ideal to have a place to stay with easy access to the center of Amsterdam, but away from the noise and tourists. We enjoyed meeting the family prior to the trade and we appreciate that they took such good care of our home.
