My husband and I are newly retired, very active and in our early 60s. We worked in housing and public affairs. We are interested in in an exchange in the Boston/ New England area, or New York or California sometime between Autumn 2024 to summer 2025. We also plan to visit family in New York state and Minneapolis as part of the trip. We have exchanged homes before and also rented very happily via Sabbatical Homes for a year in Berlin, Germany in 2018/9. We can provide references etc. We are non smokers and would be very respectful of your home, as I am sure you would be of ours too. We love the USA and have visited many times. We also have family and friends in New York state and Minneapolis and plan to stay part of the time with them. We live in a large 4 bed house in Greenwich, which is a very historic suburb of London. It is c 8 miles from central london and public transport links are excellent.. Greenwich is close to the River Thames, a Royal Park and is the home of Time as the Greenwich Meridian runs through it at the Royal Observatory nearby. It is very safe, has good local shops, restaurants, pubs etc and excellent local transport links. So it is easy and quick to travel into central london. It is suitable for a family, couple, single person or sharers. Plenty of space and full of character We have 2 grown up sons who also live in London who are happy to help or advise you during your stay. Plus good friends and neighbours locally who would be happy to help if you need it. As Maureen is a tour guide she also has friends who are guides who would be happy to give you tips on where to go and how to make the most of your stay in the UK .
