Heritage home with Acropolis view

The Athens Heritage House is a property, first constructed over 100 years ago in Thissio which we completely renovated ten years ago. It is situated on a quiet street just off the main pedestrian avenue of Apostle Paul and three minutes’ walk from the metro station of Thissio and twelve minutes walk to the Acropolis. The house is divided into two apartments. The downstairs apartment is being let out to visitors and the upstairs apartment is currently our home. If you are coming from the airport take the metro line 3 and change at Monastiraki station to metro line 1 (direction Pireaus). Parking is available on street. You are also welcome to use our bicycles. From the house there is a dedicated cycle lane leading all the way to the seafront. The house has a wonderful bakery, a greengrocer, a pharmacy and a supermarket all on the same block or a block away including a number of small 24-hour convenience stores. There are a multitude of excellent shops, bars and restaurants all very nearby. The Acropolis is also a short walk from the house: turn left on exiting the house, straight on to the pedestrian avenue of Apostle Paul and then turn right - walk all the way to the top (best visiting times are early morning, to avoid the crowds). Thissio, we believe, is Athens' most beautiful neighbourhood. The apartment has independent fast wi-fi. From the street you enter the front door and go straight up the wooden staircase. On entering the apartment, you face a hall that leads directly opposite to a small balcony. To your right, there is a large kitchen/dining room with its own small veranda overlooking a courtyard. You may smoke outside in the courtyard, but please remember that all indoor areas are strictly no-smoking. The kitchen has wooden cabinets with crockery for eight persons. It has a dishwasher and large size electric oven with gas hobs for cooking. Other wooden cabinets and shelves will have all the cooking utensils you may need. To your right is a large living room. This room has, two sofas, one of which converts into a double bed. It also has two antique armchairs and, a dining table with six chairs, a large smart tv and Playstation 5. From the kitchen is a corridor with a full bathroom to the left and a separate wc to the right. It leads to a bedroom with two single beds. Also from the kitchen is a wide staircase leading to the top floor. At the top of the landing there is a large room leading to the left to another bedroom with a king-size bed, a shower and a separate wc. It also has a balcony overlooking the courtyard. To the right, there is a study with an extra sofa bed. This leads to the top balcony which has outdoor sofa and armchairs with a unique view of the Acropolis. The house has featured in the "Ideal Home" magazine.
