Quiet Mid-Century Home in British Columbia's Southern Gulf Islands

Hello. As noted elsewhere, we have a short-term need to swap homes with someone in the GTA for our youngest daughter's wedding this May. A longer and on-going need is to see our grand children for extended periods of time each year. The wedding happens in May 2024 and we'll need a place in proximity to Toronto Island for 7 or 8 days. Our annual visits to the babies in Hamilton will commence in January 2025. During our visits we're looking for a place with good access to public transit and within 45-60 minutes of Gage Park. We are semi-retired. Because we have not left the workforce altogether we will need an office or similar place where administrative-type work can be managed. We'll need a desk/chair, power bar and fast-ish (> 50Mb/s) wifi. We're also looking for a place that is relatively quiet. Should we match you will be staying in Fulford Harbour. Fulford is a community undisturbed by the rattle and hum of life elsewhere. The silence is a portal through which woodpecker works, child's play and the chatter of passersby occasionally emerge. Our home faces due south and is surrounded by mature Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs and Garry Oaks. There is a skookum tree house! Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (King and Queen-sized beds) and a full washroom. The upper floor is organized around a large open concept kitchen/living/dining area. There are many sun-enabling windows and several skylights. Downstairs you'll find the utility room and a large bedroom with an ensuite washroom (shower/toilet) Heat pumps provide cool air in summer; warm in winter. A wood stove makes for cozy times as needed : - )
