Newly renovated, fully furnished, luxurious 3-storey semi-detached house with a lot of outdoor space (backyard, roof-deck, porch) located in a vibrant and family friendly downtown neighborhood – Little Portugal. The first floor is open concept with a kitchen including high-end appliances, dining, and living room area, and a walkout to backyard with a sandbox, trampoline, BBQ, and a smoker. The second floor has one bedroom with a children’s bed, a second bedroom with queen sofa bed (that can be also used as an office), a big office with a gas fireplace, and a bathroom with a shower and floor heating. The third floor has the master bedroom and bathroom with a shower, luxurious bathtub, and floor heating. Walkout to a furnished roof deck with an amazing view of the downtown skyline and the iconic CN Tower. Hardwood floor and high ceilings throughout the house. There are plenty of toys for small children (0-4 years) available. A crib could be set up upon request. Smart thermostat-controlled air conditioning and a separate heat pump on the 3rd floor keep the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Fiber optic internet, Apple Homepods on all floors, electronic piano in the office, 2 computer screens available. Utilities, biweekly cleaning, and fiber optic internet are included in the rent. Neighbourhood The house is located on a quiet street but within a stone’s throw from all the action offered by the Ossington strip, Little Portugal/Little Italy, Queen Street and more. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, kid-friendly parks (Dufferin Grove & Trinity Bellwoods) and workout opportunities (YMCA, Academy of Lions, local yoga studios) nearby, offering entertainment for all age groups. Excellent daycare options and public schools (including French immersion program) are within walking/biking distance. A short streetcar ride or bike ride to University of Toronto, OCAD, Toronto Metropolitan University and major downtown hospitals. 3 min walk to Dundas or College streetcar stops and city bike locations. Your hosts We are an academic couple who are on a sabbatical from January to September 2024 in the US and Europe. Our home is ideal for professionals, couples, or small families. Commuting to work anywhere in downtown or midtown Toronto is easy and the house also offers a fantastic work-from-home opportunity with fiber optic internet and multiple rooms that can be used as offices. Our two friendly and cuddly cats are not joining us on the trip. We would love it if you were willing to take care of them while we are away, but we are also open to other arrangements.
