We are a retired couple who enjoy travelling. We have a daughter who lives in New Zealand so that is our primary destination for now but we are open to other destinations. Our condo is on the top floor of a boutique building with only 12 floors. It has an elevator that opens up right into the unit and 11ft ceilings with so much natural light that we barely have to turn the lights on. There is a winding staircase to a private rooftop garden oasis where we spend most of our time in the spring, summer and fall. The principle bedroom has a 4 piece bathroom and the spare bedroom/den/office has a pullout couch and a 3 piece bathroom. There is a separate powder room just off the kitchen. We live in the famous St. Lawrence Market area of downtown Toronto, with a 100% walking rate. Beautiful St. James Park is a stone's throw away and the Eaton's Centre and Queen subway stop is 5 minutes away on foot. It is a great walking neighbourhood; our favorite destination is The Distilleries which is a 20 minutes walk. Lake Ontario's waterfront and Harbourfront is 5 minutes away by bike (15 minutes by foot) where you can ride or walk along the lakeshore bike path for miles: Head east to the Beaches, or west as far as Port Credit and beyond. We area 10 minute bikeride to the Toronto Island ferry. We rarely drive but we have a parking spot if you need a car.
