My apartment building used to be a beautiful hotel. The lobby is stunning, and the apartments are amazing. One downside is there is no doorman. I am madly in love with my apartment. I am a writer and reader, and while I'm social, my home is my happy place. It's filled with art and tons of books. You're welcome to read any of them, so long as you put them back. I also have a guitar, ukulele, sewing machine, and tons of random workout equipment that you can also use. There is laundry in the basement, but you can also send it out (I can give you the information), and they'll pick it up and drop it off. The neighborhood is incredible. If you love stoop sales, farmer's markets, pop-up craft fairs, dogs, and parks (our park has a tennis court!), you'll be in actual heaven. I've been in the neighborhood for 20 years and know everyone. By the end of the first month, so will you. My neighborhood is diverse, teeming with things to do and friendly as it gets. Pratt University is three blocks away and anyone can walk through their beautiful campus, sit, read, look at the sculptures, and think for as long as you want. ABOUT ME: I am the author of 13 books. I write for kids under pseudonyms and adults under my name. For 15 years, I ran a popular music and literary event in NYC and actively worked to build community and create culture. My work lies at the intersection of psychology and literature, and when I'm not writing, I'm with friends, having long and engaging conversations, reading, going to movies, and hanging out in my neighborhood (which I struggle to leave because it's truly that incredible). I'm amiable and generous, and while I'm quite social, as I get older, I find I need more and more time alone to decompress. I live with my dog Busy, who's trained to help me with panic attacks.

Comments: I am somewhat flexible on timing, but I need to be somewhere warm for the winter due to health issues, so the latest I'd like to leave would be Jan 1st.
