I am a clinical academic at Imperial College London, spending 12 months with my family on sabbatical in New York. A home swap would be ideal, or rental to another family looking to spend the upcoming academic year in London. Great things about my home: - Beautiful, architect-designed, modern kitchen (ideal entertaining space) - Spacious - 4 good size bedrooms - we use one as a shared study (it has a futon so it can be used as a guest bedroom). - 2 shower-rooms (the master bedroom has an en suite) + a downstairs loo - Outdoor bike garage - Local amenities all within walking distance (supermarket, gym, schools). Cyclists and runners will appreciate the nearby Lee Valley towpath - Transport links are really excellent. Access to central London via Underground (Victoria line) <20 min, London Overground to Hampstead Heath (15 min), London Fields + 50m outdoor heated pool (10 min), Stansted Express from Tottenham Hale station. - Direct buses to trendy Dalston, Stoke Newington, Hoxton areas for night life, dining, live gigs, etc (20 min). - Local bars, cafes and restaurants (our fav's Chuku's https://www.chukuslondon.co.uk, True Craft https://www.truecraftlondon.co.uk, High Cross https://thenudge.com/london-bars/the-high-cross/) My cleaner is really trustworthy and reliable, has been with us for >10 years. She can come weekly if you wish (she has a key and lets herself in) - if you do this we can ask her to take care of the houseplant watering.

Comments: GBP4000 to include gas and electricity, council tax, water, TV license and wifi. Use of car and on street car parking negotiable.
Comments: Looking for a like-minded, respectful, kind, reliable family to look after my cherished home whilst we are away on sabbatical.
Negotiable! Lovely, well-mannered, elderly greyhound. If you are a dog person, we can keep him in the property to keep you company.
Nothing much here - just keep a look out for anything that looks important.
House plants - all very low maintenance - watering and general care. Garden - also low maintenance - feel free to plant in the autumn for spring flowers if you know about these things.
Comments: If you want to utilise the car I can put you on the insurance. It is a Dacia Sanders - a nice, fuel efficient city car that is also great for exploring outside London. Roof rack and cycle racks available to use if you want an adventure.

Comments: I will be on academic sabbatical in New York City from August 2024-2025. Slight flexibility for start and end dates but would like the property to be occupied for the whole academic year ideally.
