This is our home that we rent for one year during our sabbatical stay abroad. The house is organized in three half-storeys separated by a few steps. At the ground floor, one guestroom/office with desk and sofa-bed, bathroom with shower, laundry and bike garage. At the first floor, living-room with open kitchen and dining area. At the second floor, first bedroom with queensize bed, second bedroom with bunk beds, third bedroom with simple bed, toilets, and bathroom with shower. There is a private parking space in front of the house, a large garden with many flowers and moutain views, an outdoor swimming pool which is fully secured by a cover shutter and two terraces with tables and chairs to eat outside. The house is close to campus (10 minutes by bike), Gieres village center with schools, grocery stores, bakeries and weekly farmers market (10 minutes by foot), train and tram station (7 minutes by foot, very frequent connections to Grenoble city center and campus). It is located in a very quiet residential and green area, 100 meters from the Isere river bike path and trails. The closest ski resorts are 30 minute away by car. The house was renovated for thermic efficiency two years ago, with triple-glazed windows, full external insulation and double-flux ventilation. Therefore it is very comfortable both in winter and summer, even during heat waves! The rent includes all utilities : electricity, water, internet, and a cleaning service once a week, gardening service and swimming pool maintenance service.
