Familiy home with garden near Free University, Berlin in 2024/2025

Description

We will leave Berlin for a 1-year-sabbatical from 09/24 until 07/25, but want to come home between travels every few months to look after our aging parents. Thus we can only give the house away for periods of a maximum of 2-3 months. It is a beautiful house from the 1920's in Berlin-Zehlendorf situated close to the Free University (20 min. walk or 5 min. by car). The tube station is a 10 min. walk away. It is also close to the bi-lingual Quentin Blake School (Primary School English-German) and to the JFK-School (American). The house spreads over 3 stories with app. 230 square meters of space (plus a basement). There are 4 bedrooms (1 of them a bit smaller), 1 study, 1 TV-Room, 1 diningrooom/open kitchen, 2 living rooms and 3 bathrooms. We used it with our 3 kids who have moved out by now. There is a large garden with apple and plum trees plus a pond. The whole property has app. 1150 square meters. Behind the garden lies a large park which offers a beautiful view from the house. The street is in a quiet neighborhood with no through-traffic. We will leave the house furnished with general household equipment. There is a small extra room where we would store our personal things (unless this room is desperately needed by the tenant). Our tenant would have to be willing to look after the house and garden, but does not need any specific abilities.
