Large Queen Ann Victorian blocks from Kerrytown and Central Campus

Historic Queen Anne Victorian home built in 1890. The house was renovated with an addition and new kitchen in 2005 to approximately 2900 sq. ft. The rooms can be set up in a variety of configurations with up to 5 bedrooms with 3 full baths.

Upstairs the master suite includes an office, a walk in closet, a king-sized bed, and a bathroom with shower, laundry (w&d) and indoor cedar hot tub. The 2nd & 3rd bedrooms are large by historic standards. One has a small porch for reading and both have queen beds. The second full bath has a tub and shower.

Downstairs there is a new full bath with accessible shower. Doors on either end connect a hall off the dining room and the front room with a pocket door. The front room could be configured as a livingroom, guest room or office depending on your needs. Eight large picture windows with colored glass panes and window seats fill most rooms with lots of light. The flooring is antique heart of pine reclaimed from old barns.

The house opens into a large kitchen/family room with desk area. The kitchen has wood and leaded glass cabinets, a large copper sink, gas stove, dishwasher, large work island with stools and all manner of cooking appliances. Access to the deck with outdoor grill amd smoker is off the kitchen. The family room area has large sofa and television. Through french doors from the family room/kitchen there is large room 13x 26 that is currently used as an artist's studio/gallery, but can be configured as a 5th bedroom study or family room with sofa seating area and office.

The yard has several small vegetable and flower gardens with seasonal cherries, currants and peaches. The house is right in town with a short walk to the Kerrytown farmer's market and shops and the University of Michigan campus. Numerous parks and the Huron river trails are all within walking distance. There is easy highway access to all major roads in and out of town. Two bus lines are one block away and the Amtrak station is about a 7 block walk.
