We are offering a wonderful place that is ideal for anybody to make a home, away from home. The unit (place) is on the first floor of an owner-occupied two-family house in East Arlington, MA. The unit has two bedrooms, one sunroom (which could be used as an office/guest room or a bedroom), a living room, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. There are beds for up to 8 people but we recommend no more than 4 or 5 to live in the unit long term. On the side of the house is a shared driveway for parked cars!
The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated in 2015 and are furnished with new appliances, including stove, refrigerator, dish washer, microwave, washer and dryer. The entire unit has been winterized in 2017 with insulation and new windows. In 2016, a new hot water tank and heating system were installed to provide central heat and AC. In 2017, the entire unit had been winterized with blown-in cellulose insulation (batt insulation in the kitchen and bathroom), and new Energy Star-rated windows.

The unit comes with a backyard that is spacious and full of potential. Beyond the backyard fence is Magnolia Park and Playground, offering plenty of open space for enjoying the outdoors.

The kitchen is fully-loaded so that you can begin to cook as soon as you move in, just as long as you've done the groceries. The sink has a garbage disposal and there is a dishwasher. The unit has two convertible sofa beds and can accommodate up to 8 people which is important for hosting out-of-town guests. There is plenty of bedding, and other small touches that make a place a home.
Accessible:
The house is 7 minutes walking distance from either the MBTA Red Line’s Alewife Station or the #77 bus on Massachusetts Ave. We are also on the Minuteman Bikeway for those who enjoy getting out on their bikes or going for long walks.
Children Friendly:
Our household includes me, my partner, Eric, and my two boys, ages 17 and 12. They are with us every other week and when they are here you will sense that this house is a place for families with children. The nearest elementary school is the Hardy School, just 3 minutes away on foot. You will have free and clear access to the enclosed backyard. Our goal is to make our house as family-freindly, as possible and are accommodating towards that goal!
