About Me
I am a reading specialist at an elementary public school in Arlington VA, beginning retirement by taking a year off, starting in Sept./August, to travel around the United States with my husband and our dog. I have lived in Arlington, VA for 30 years. I previously lived in Cambridge and Northampton, MA; Ithaca NY, and New Orleans, LA, where I was born. My husband is retired and formerly worked for the World Bank in renewable energy. Our two sons are in their 20s and work in the Washington DC area at the moment. My husband and I love hiking, backpacking, and being active, and are hoping to do a great deal of this during our year off. We will also be renting our house for the year.
