A Beautiful Berkeley Hills Home
The home is a wonderful example of late mid-century bay region modernism. It is full of wood paneling and lofts, large glazed openings and skylights. The home is unique, all made of wood. People in the neighborhood call it "the tree house". Remodeled in the 80s by an architect who studied at UC Berkeley in the 70s and who considered the home to be a design study on maximizing the use of space while incorporating elements of the then-existing cottage. His renovation was featured in the Summer 1981 issue of "Better Homes and Gardens" (see link).
You will have the whole house and garden for your self. You will have access to one bedroom that has a queen bed with a half bathroom. There is also another small bathroom with bathtub and shower. The office is in the garden.
there is also another small room but we will keep it closed to store our stuff.
The home is surrounded by trees giving it a real sense of privacy. It's a perfect place for writing, relaxing or enjoying all the outdoor activities nearby. There is a deck with bay views.
